Teen Depression

Teenage suicides has reached alarming levels world wide. Often times teenage depression is mistaken for rebelliousness or oppositional behaviour. Teens can feel increasingly alone in their struggles to deal with the issues they are confronted with.  If a teen mentions feeling depressed or has thoughts that life is not worth living and threatens to end their life it should always be taken seriously. Teens should receive the appropriate treatment for depression which is usually a combination of medication and psychotherapy.
